Santa Clara del CobreThe CUENTOS Foundation gives voice to the stories (cuentos) of our diverse communities through the collaborative art programs we create and facilitate. We utilize artistic strategies for reflecting upon, expressing, documenting, and sharing our transforming cultural heritage and traditions.

Cuentos Foundation is a 501(c)(3), non-profit arts organization that creates and facilitates global / local intercultural exchange. Since its founding in 1998, Cuentos has produced numerous community-based interdisciplinary projects, including its founding global village project, Ritmo del Fuego / Rhythm of Fire - devoted to the art and artisans of Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán, Mexico. Cuentos maintains a collection of exquisite museum quality copper art from Santa Clara available as a resource base for study and for traveling exhibition. Also available are Cuentos’ book and video documentary on Santa Clara del Cobre.
